Locum GP to Cover Maternity Leave

The Ruddington Medical Centre are looking to employee a locum GP to cover maternity leave, commencing February 15th 2022.

About the practice

Ruddington Medical Centre are an established, well regarded, and supportive training and teaching practice. The practice achieves highly in QOF and is rated as Good by the CQC, serving 7,000 patients in one site in Ruddington. They are well supported by an active patient participation group.

They have 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GP’s and Registrars and Foundation GP’s, who work closely with their nursing team to deliver high quality clinical care. The practice’s patients and clinical team are supported by the current Practice Manager, Support Services Manager, reception and administration teams. The practice has an excellent working relationship with their primary care partners including their Primary Care Network (who provide additional clinician roles eg. clinical pharmacists and technicians, social prescribers and first contact physiotherapists.

Post-holder Requirements

Ruddington Medical Practice require the successful post-holder to undertake all 4 sessions, including the ward round at a Care Home for the elderly, however they do realise that this may not always be possible. The ward round, currently undertaken by phone, unless a visit is applicable is done early on Wednesday afternoon.

Tuesday Morning Surgery Time: 08:30 – 1.00 Requirements:
(4.5 hours) Jointly do telephone triage from 08:30, with space for face to face appts followed by admin time. If willing, assist with debriefing F2, GPR (30 mins allowance)
Timings can be flexible

Tuesday Afternoon 3:00 – 6:30pm
(3.5 hours) Telephone appts then face to face, plus admin time. If willing, assist with debriefing F2, GPR (30 mins allowance)

Wednesday Morning 9.00 – 1.00
(4 hours) jointly do telephone triage until 10:00am, then face to face appts. There are appts reserved for you to book from triage. Admin time. If willing, assist with debriefing F2, GPR (30 mins allowance)

Wednesday Afternoon 1.30 – 6:30pm
(5 hours) To be ‘on call’ from 13:30. then telephone & face to face appts & admin time. There are appts reserved for you to book for follow up.
