About the practice

• Small friendly practice – patient list size 5000 and growing GMS practice
• Extremely close to Nottingham Train and Tram station. Walking distance to Nottingham City Centre.
• Free on site staff parking – free tea, coffee and biscuits.
• TPP SystmOne clinical system utilising AccuRx
• Very efficient and experienced administration and reception staff
• Excellent engagement within our Primary Care Network
• Two GP Partners, one Practice Nurse and two HCAs along with PCN roles – Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Admiral Nurse and Social Prescriber
• Additional roles working at the practice include Physicians Associate, Practice Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapist, Senior Mental Health Practitioner, Social Prescriber
• Teaching Practice for ST2 GP registrars, medical students, student nurses, pharmacist students and student physician associates.
• Additional enhanced services including Extended Hours

Post holder requirements

• Experience with childhood immunisations programmes and cervical screening
• Essential knowledge of LTC reviews
• Experienced and qualified in Treatment room services – including wound care
• Travel advice, triage and vaccinations
• Venepuncture
• ECGs
• Chronic disease management is desirable
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the practice whilst having the ability to demonstrate initiative
• Own transport is essential. Applicants will be encouraged to continue their professional development within a supportive environment.
• Home visits to deliver patient care who are unable to attend the surgery
• A proactive approach to providing and improving high standards of patient care is essential, together with effective time management and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to train the right applicant if lacking any of the above skills.
