Team Secretary

Nottinghamshire LMC is the independent body recognised in statute as representing the interests of NHS General Practitioners in Nottinghamshire.

Due to changes within the LMC team, we are looking to establish a new role of Team Secretary to support the LMC Committee and office team.

Job Description

They will have excellent verbal, writing and IT skills and be able to prioritise tasks and keep up with deadlines whilst producing high quality minutes of meetings. The Team Secretary will also act as a coordinator for LMC committee members in terms of preparing for events and meetings both locally and nationally. A working knowledge of NHS primary care and particularly general practice is of value but is not essential.

This is a general support role to all working within the LMC office and therefore the successful applicant needs to be flexible and be a good communicator and adept at building good working relationship. There is also a support role to the organisation regards premises and information management and technology. The role is of a secretarial nature with some PA duties to the senior management.

The post-holder would be mainly office-based but with some travel between locations involved.

The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, but the post-holder is also expected to attend occasional evening meetings (overtime paid). The employment package includes five weeks’ holiday and superannuation equivalent to 14% of basic salary.
