A new look for the LMC Buying Group

The LMC Buying Group was set up more than 15 years ago when Nottinghamshire LMC started to negotiate discounts with flu vaccine companies on behalf of its local practices.
A few years later, we started to source discounts from suppliers of stationery, medical consumables and insurance and that’s when other LMCs started to work with us as well.
We’ve come a long way since then as we now work with over 15 suppliers, 58 LMCs and have over 6,500 members but we are still very committed to our original mission of helping GP practices save time and money on the products and services they regularly buy.

So why the new look?
With the ongoing financial challenges facing general practice, we wanted to make sure that practices knew who we were and how we could help them save time and money on their purchasing.
So we asked our suppliers, LMCs and members what they thought of us as an organisation and from the feedback we realised that people trust that we’ll find them the best deals available but at the same time ensure our suppliers provide quality products and services.

That’s why we’ve changed our strapline to ‘Trusted to save GP practices time & money’ and redesigned our logo so you know when you see this ‘stamp of approval’ on any information you might receive from a company you know for certain that they are one of our approved suppliers.

We guarantee that our suppliers won’t just offer you a great price one week and then ramp up the price the next so you can be assured that if you order from our suppliers you’ll get a great price every time you shop.

Here to help

As we’ve already mentioned we negotiate with our approved suppliers to provide you with the best price available. If you decide you want to order from any of our suppliers, you just contact them directly. However, we’re here to help you if you have any questions about the Buying Group or problems with any of our suppliers.

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
