MidMeds
What can they provide?
Medical equipment and consumables, single use surgical instruments, medical furniture and pharmaceuticals. MidMeds have produced a special catalogue containing a list of the most popular medical consumables on which they offer outstanding discounts (you can download this from the MidMeds page which can be found in the Members section of the website or request a hard copy from MidMeds). Cost comparisons show that you can save between £1,000 and £4,000 per annum if you order all of your medical equipment through MidMeds. Delivery is free on all orders. You can order online but you'll need to set up your account with MidMeds first.

Medical Insurance Advisory Bureau (MIAB)
What can they provide?
Locum and surgery insurance plus many other insurance products. Buying Group savings can range from 15%-35% on usual prices. Quotation forms for surgery and locum insurance are available to download from the MIAB page which can be found in the Members section.

TAG Medical Ltd
What can they provide?
Medical Equipment Testing and Calibration and PAT testing. In one simple visit TAG's fully trained engineers are able to test and calibrate all of your medical equipment, on-site. Certificates are issued upon completion, enabling 3 QOF points. What can they provide?
Shred-it specialise in providing a highly secure on-site document destruction service that allows businesses to comply with legislation and ensure your confidential business information is kept secure at all times. Shred-it provide their customers with secure locked consoles to place their confidential documents in then on a scheduled date Shred-it will pick up the consoles and shred the contents on-site before providing you with a certificate of destruction for your records. What can they provide?
GP practice websites (not available in Kent). SurgeryLink will build your practice website with all of the interactive features you would expect from a professional practice website and because they build it from the information you provide, not only is it personal to your surgery but all the work is done for you. What can they provide?

Avon LMC
What can they provide?
CRB checks processing service (currently only available to practices in Sheffield, Manchester, Wessex, Kirklees, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire, YORLMC, Norfolk, Essex, Barking & Havering, Avon, Newcastle and North Tyneside, Londonwide and Bro Taf). Avon Local Medical Committee became a Registered Umbrella Body of the Criminal Records Bureau in June 2010, and has since been processing CRB checks for GPs and Practice staff. They offer the service for the enhanced, standard and volunteer checks. Payment can be made via their website. The price of this service is available to view in the Members section.

What can they provide?
New and Used Cars. LMCdrive's deal is different from the other services provided by the Buying Group as it is a membership benefit for all staff rather than something that is bought for practice use only. Untied Utilities
What can they provide?
Utilities discount brokerage service (electricity and gas). Untied Utilities aim to take the hassle out of finding the best prices and arranging transfers to the most competitive suppliers. All Untied Utilities require is that you send them their quotation form and a completed and signed letter of authority on your headed paper, with copies of your last 12 months' gas and electricity bills showing usage and current unit prices. The quotation form and letter of authority can be downloaded from the Untied Utilities page which can be found in the Members section. This service is provided free of charge as the company obtains its remuneration from the chosen suppliers.
